Technology Fair was designed to showcase the newest and the best automation technology.

Siemens will be showcasing their “Productivity Tour” program.
The
Siemens
Productivity Tour
is a simulation of a manufacturing line showcasing
Siemens Totally Integrated Automation.
The demonstration equipment consists of 7 individual
cells networked together through Scalance Wireless ProfiNet, all
linked back to a centralized Control Room.
At the Central Control Room, a Panel PC loaded with WinCC
HMI Software provides all the visualization and Human Machine
Interface (HMI) needed to facilitate an increase in productivity
for the entire production line.
There will be free seminars, work shops and demonstrations
throughout the day.
Topics include “Selecting Motion Equipment for your
Production Machine, UL 508A and ARC Flash Requirements—What you
need to know, energy Savings and Plant
Efficiency through the proper use of
climate control, Lighting for Machine Vision, and
HMI-Innovative Solutions”, just to name a few.

Siemens Online UID Training
Siemens is pleased to announce that we are resuming the Web-based training
program offered at no charge to those concerned about UID compliance.
To participate in this highly acclaimed web-based training, you will
need an internet connection and a telephone line for the audio discussion
portion of the program.
Each of the training sessions is 90 minutes and designed to be interactive.
It will cover the basics of the UID Regulations and requirements, including
the new AIM DPM Guidelines added to the latest version of the Mil Std
130M Change 1. Staff Unique Identification experts will answer participants
questions regarding the regulations and compliance, drawing upon their
experience in assisting hundreds of contractors comply since December
2004.
